Rejected or Accepted on Credit File?

I applied for a Barclaycard Platinum CC with 0% on purchases for 10 months via their website. On completion of the application process the system informed me that my application would need to be reviewed and that they'd inform me by post if my application was successful.
A couple of days later I received a letter telling me that my application for that specific card had been unsuccessful but offered me another card with the 0% on purchases offer reduced to 3 months and a slightly higher APR.
I accepted the offer.
My question is this. On the credit files would this show as a credit rejection or not?
Thank you.

No it's doesn't but that's doesn't mean that lenders won't make inferences.
e.g. you only need one mortgage, so with 4 mortgage applications there will be an inference of rejection.0 -

I agree, but the OP has only made one application, I don't see any problem on their Credit File in this respect.0 -
That was the answer I was looking for. Thank you for your responses.
