Shares ISA - bit confused
vaderag
I've just got a cash isa, and i want to use the rest of my allowance in a shares isa (since this seems to be a good way to do a bit of investment tax free)
Basically, i've read the Dis!!!! Brokers article, and everything else that is on here and i'm still a little confused.
Am i right in thinking that i basically need to set it up with a discount broker, and then i just run it as if it was a standard share dealing account? Or do i choose an area to put the investment in and leave it?
Can someone help me get a bit more informed on this!?
Thanks

Not that this has any relevance to your question, but I find it mildly amusing that a misspelling of the word discount should get censored:vaderag wrote:Basically, i've read the Dis!!!! Brokers article...
Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
Lol - that is pretty amusing - think i'll leave it ;o)0

You dont use a discount broker for shares or other direct investments. Only for funds.
