Have Vista on laptop. Want to be able to add another screen and be able to move windows from one screen to another. Ive seen it done but never done it myself.
Has blue connector socket for monitor on back of laptop.
Thanks in advance.

Just plug another monitor into the laptop, and set it as a secondary display in the display properties (you can either mirror the display from the laptop onto another screen, or extend it, choosing where it sits, left, right etc).
The blue socket is a VGA connector.0 -

Try right clicking the desktop... (I don't use Vista, but I assume that's where it is!) You normally won't have the additional options until you plug the monitor in.0

R-click desktop doesnt do it either.....however managed to find a hyperlink to it in Windows Help......called Display Settings but someone obviously forgot to put it into the CP.illegitimi non carborundum0

In vista, right click the desktop, go to "Personalize", then select Display Settings0
