I need a hort term savings account (6 months)

Hello

I need a little bit of advice please. I'm hoping to start saving £700 each month,(give or take £100) for a house. I'm wanting to buy next spring so definitely will be withdrawing the full amount for a deposit.

Can anybody recommend an account to me? I currently have a current account and save direct account with the Co-Operative Bank, but their rate of interest is rubbish at 0.78!

Any advice would be gratefully received.

You need a top rated instant access account, the best are the internet based accounts paying 6.5%+.

Don't lock the money away in a fixed term account, as you may suddenly want it for a house, and you'd lose interest with an early withdrawal.

Have a look at the best listed here at Moneyfacts.
