Glide uk for utilities - any info
Options
Heya - this is my first post on this board and I have done a search for this and couldn't find anything so I hope you guys in the know will be able to help me.
I am just about to move into my first shared student house and we have been looking for utilities and everything but we don't know really how much things are.
I think we need:
Electricity, gas, broadband (fast, unlimited use) - and a phone line but only if needed for the internet, and water.
I don't want anyone in the house to have to be chasing people for money and all of that jazz and another friend has reccomended glideuk (I dont know if I can post links sorry) It's a company where every tenant just pays them and they provide everything.
For our house, (with 4 people) it comes to a price of £11.99 each per week.
I have no idea really if this is expensive, a bad way to do it or anything but I would really like some opinions and advice!
Thank you loads, I really hope you can help but I alsothink I might post this over in the student board too!
Tink

That comes to £2,400 pa.
You don't get unlimited gas/electricity/water but it appears that the allowances are pretty generous.
Most students are away from the house for long vacations in the year.
With care you should be able to manage on considerably less than £2,400.
If you are away quite a bit, then Gas/electricity should be no more than £1,000. Phone and internet no more than £400 and water?? £300.0
