How can I help my mum

in Credit cards
Hi,
Basically I was aware that my mum has a large debt on a credit card, and due to reading numerous articles on this site, i've wanted to give her balance transfer advice etc. I sneakily opened one of her statements to get an idea and found she is paying PPI which is like adding on £70 a month to her bill and she always pays the minimum. I need to get her to cancel it, she was most likely self-employed when she took it out and is only temping at the moment so it may not even be valid. How can I tell her this, without making it obvious that i've been really nosy and read her statement? I only want to help her reduce her debt.
Thanks

Best thing you can do is be honest, and say you want to help her because shes your mum. She might actually grateful to have a family member who she can discuss stuff with.
In order to really help her, she has to be honest with you - you need to know loads of stuff like total debts, the APR of the card and her credit rating.0
