outlook express can not access mail

hi

a 6 weeks ago main pc packed up ,i could not get email from that pc,so used laptop and got email online with virgin (old name telewest/blueyonder) which i do not like its slow and cant see all images its horrible.

2 weeks ago old pc fixed :j no real problem (loose connection) oopps

when started outlook express it would down load 10 emails off say 150 then an error would come up and stop downloading...it almost seems as if all emails ive read online are still trying to download to outlook express and cant cope

hope someone can help

Go online and delete your old emails and empty the spam folders ect. then try again

When the error sign comes up what does it say?
If you can post the error message maybe we can help

Theres currently a countrywide problem with virgins mail service (If thats what your using)

deleted al old /trash etc emails ..does not work

the error that comes up is

Message number 5 could not be retrieved. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'pop3.blueyonder.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: 'The Body Shop =', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD

it says this for different number of emails then stops

do not think its virgin problem my wife and son still get their emails ok on their pc's

i feel as if i do not want to down load all old email just start freash from today

So log into your web based e-mail and delete the crap in your inbox then!

Hiya have you tried what yoxford2008 posted in his link about changing the maximum size of the messages your allowed to download? Additionally If you're running McAfee's mail[URL="javascript:void(0)"][/URL] virus check, use task manager and kill mcVSEscn process.

yes i have tried link advice still not work
