How can I stop a bed moving around on a hard (laminate) floor?
Its in my daughters room & the bed is on wheels (as are most divans) & it moves a little. Is there something designed to put under the wheels to stop this?
Thanks

You can get wee plates that attach to the wheels which are designed for hard floors you can get this in the big diy stores.
hope this helps0 -
They are called Castor Cups and are in the section of DIY stores where you get door stops, hinges and other bits and pieces in little plastic bags.. Some are nicer than others and you should stick fuzzy felt under each one for extra grip and to stop them scratching the floor - some come with the fuzzy felt as standard.0

You can also get the little adhesive felt pads to put under furniture legs etc from Morrisons. From memory they are normally in the bit where they have paint brushes etc. and come in a bag containing different sizes. Cannot remember the price but they are not dear.
They are very good and also make it easier to 'slide' the furniture, such as set of drawers, when you want to move them.0 -
Or just remove the castors0

Most castors are made to work with the resistance of carpet, so slide around manically on laminate floors. You can get braked castors (expensive but practical if you are planning to move the bed around a lot or need to pull the bed out to change bedding etc), put glides on instead so it slides but stays in place, or as said above, buy the little cup thingies. The cups are the least attractive but by far the most cost effective and MSE. If you remove the castor you may have a hard edge that then scratches the flooring, so be careful. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? They are the ones I want, braked castors or braked cups or something, because I do still want to move it out. I wouldn't remove them, apart from scratching the floor it would lower the bed too.
I need 8 thingies, because its a kingsize & has 4 wheels on each.0 -
