website for london transport works

The past few times I've travelled up to London, I have been faced with underground stations closed and bus replacement services. The same on my train journey up to London.

Does anyone know a website where you can check the underground closures and problems and also Kent railway net work?

I have tried phoning National Rail this morning. 1st guy didn't seem to know what job he was doing!! or where Rochester was!!! and the second time i was holding for ages (yes i know it's not the best time of day to ring).
