For 415 thats awesome actually. Though id recommend a slightly bigger monitor, 22" say?

Alright, but I'd pay the extra for the warranty.
  • Thanks for your replies chaps.

I've currently got a 14" monitor so 19" will seem much bigger anyway.

I think I could manage with the basic warranty. I think many people have ordered Dells in the past and have downgraded the warranty to "return to Dell" or something like that. At least this one includes collection I think.
  • 19" wide is fine, but if you game then that gfx card is not so good :(

Not too bad, just had a quick tot up on dabs.co.uk and doubt you could do it cheaper for that spec.

But you already have a mouse keyboard ect and do you need a business OS?
I just picked up a 22" monitor for £99 due to one dead pixel.

Sound card doesnt exist as its part of the motherboard so they're just making it look as your getting something extra there and I'm guessing that its only a mATX board so there'll be limited oppertunity for you to expand, the 4gig RAM that it comes with will be the most that the board will take and you wont have many free slots for PCI cards.

Depends what you mean by gaming as to whether the graphics card will be up to the job. What games are you thinking of playing?

The other thing I would say is that by getting Vista Business you won't get the Media center facilities, Movie Maker, DVD Maker or Parental controls. So you need to chdeck whether those features would be useful to you.

  • just read a post that manufacturers dell have gone into administration- not sure whether this is the case but advise you check this out because it would invalidate your guarantee.
