secure wireless connection

Hi. I've set up wireless interent using a router and I can't get the security to work. Everytime I go to add a passcode/wep etc... i get page cannot be displayed although I can change all other settings. I set up the connection without any installation software so it's possible that I need to install this feature. could this be why (opened up the box when i got back and there was no manual and no installation cd!)

otherwise, is there any software i can download to make sure my neighbours can't use my internet connection? (it's slow enough as it is lol) internet connection's working fine btw

Not had this problem, but are you using an ethernet cable to set up the router, or are you trying to connect wirelessly to set up the security? That may be an issue if the radio signal isn't enabled?

tried it wired and tried every possible security mode (wpa etc...). Just tried to connect wirelessly and it's now working, so the router must have saved the settings despite it not appearing that this was the case. Very strange, but at least it's sorted now.
