Housing benefit and non dependents?

If I claim housing benefit and Income support ,and my daughter moves into new accomodation with my young son and I ,how much will she have to pay towards the rent ? Or would she be liable to look after us ?
She is working but unable to afford to pay the high rents where we are ,she is about to leave her boyfriend ,so we would need a new flat to accommodate us 3.
When we move into new flat I will have to put in a claim for income support and housing benefit ,would they stop my benefits totally if we all live together ?help!

There would be non-dependent deductions made from your HB/LHA and Council Tax Benefit but these are not very high.

If you all moved into a flat together, Housing Benefit would depend on how you structured the tenancy.
If you took on the tenancy yourself, as the liable person, (tenancy in your sole name), you could claim Housing Benefit on 100% of the rent, but would then be subject to the relevant non-dependent deduction.
If you took it as joint tenants, with your daughter as the second tenant, you would probably be able to claim for 50% with no deduction.
However, under the new Local Housing Allowance rules, it would probably be more financially-beneficial to you to claim as a single tenant, with a non-dependent.
Check with your local authority for the LHA rates and levels of non-dep deductions.
Good luck:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
