ICICI BANK - seems very inefficient

I opened an account with this bank, sent off my £1 and an R85. Kept asking what was happening but there was no response and then....received an envelope containing my R85 and saying the details on it, address NI number etc did not match the details in their records (comical really as the address on the envelope is the same as the one on the R85). I addressed an email to the Chairman and this time someone did reply to say I should send back the R85. Did that and now no response again. Tried to login last night using the password they sent and kept being told it was incorrect. I have decided this is a bank I don't need but interested to hear other people's experiences.

Maybe you should hit the 'search this forum' and put in icici, you'll see plenty. Some satisfied, many not. But as is the nature of such things, people with a gripe will surface.

I have been thinking of increasing the £1000 we put in eighteen months or so ago, but following this mornings difficulty in actually getting pages to come up once logged in, I am not so sure. I suppose it is a fact that a higher interest rate does require large amounts of money to be worth the effort. In the short term I have actually tried to remove a small sum and will see how that works out.
