buying a tumbledryer,be not fooled into a superb deal from lxdirect!.......ok,they have good discounts, but you only can choose one at a time(fair enough),but there is NO free connection as they advertise, there is NO free uplift of previous appliance as they advertise, there is NO quick delivery on the model I ordered, and to say the telephone staff were disinterested/unhelpful would be an understatement.I'm to wait 2 weeks, but I wish I had confidence in anything arriving at all.....watch this space..

I was just about to order a refrigerator from them. I will wait and watch to see how you get on.0

I ordered a kettle from LX Direct last week, using two codes from the RPoints website. The first code deducted about £5 from the kettle, but the second code for free delivery wasn't shown. The kettle arrived two days later (as stated in their email) and I emailed about the second code I had used.
They emailed back immediately and said that as soon as the kettle had arrived and I was keeping it, to email again and the code would be honoured. This I did and they kept their promise by deducting the purchase by another £3.50.
The RPoints have already been added to my account and I've found them excellent to deal with.
Hope you receive the goods you ordered.0 -
Glad you've had better experience for your cups of tea than my wet clothes!Ominously, they haven't yet been able to give me a delivery date.Ah well. Those towels will just have to wait...0

I wrote about a rather disappointing experience in my dealings to buy a tumble-dryer from lxdirect.Well, credit where credit is due,the dryer appeared quickly and without any problems(not opened it yet).Shame the staff weren't so enthusiastic,or their website wasn't so accurate, but it seems my initial foreboding was unfounded!0

i ordered a dryer 3 weeks ago, it took 10 days for it to arrive, again i didn`t get the promised installation. i used a 20% off code.
anyway, it wouldn`t work, so we rang lx straight away, and they said they could only get an engineer for another week!! he came today and it turns out the belt is snapped, and we need another one- which will take another wk to arrive!!!! checked bank stmt and it turns out lx direct took he full amount out aswell. rang them and the 'lady' basically said that i prob didn`t give the code. she then said that i couldn`t use a code unless it was my 1st order - but the mailing was for existing custs. luckily i had the leaflet to hand and she ten agreed to honour the code. terrible experence, and all to save £5from shop price!!Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.
wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!0 -
thanks for the advice re. bank statement! I'll check all is as I hoped. There is obviously a real problem in their sales staff, maybe a wee teambuilding away day with group hugs would be a good idea.0
