Well... they rang my mobile twice one day but i missed the calls... (know it was them cos i googled the number) ... but they have never rang back since!0 -
I haven't had any, but I'm registered with Silent Callguard which stops silent calls. Have a look at the link below (hope it works)

You can do the same thing with the Telephone Preference Service and they don't charge.0 -
Sounds like it was definately a SL that signed you up then, but a very poor one! I'd suggest if you don't get much luck getting hold of her, to pm me, or another sl with your postcode. We can then find out the email address for your ASM and you can email her directly to try and get things sorted. With you not getting a book through - it could be that the rep who has your street is lazy with covering her territory! Maybe knock on doors and ask people if they have had a book lately, and if they say no ask if they would like one. Not ideal - but if someone is meant to be covering it and they obviously aren't then it could be a good way for you to get some customers. hth
my SL is fab, but my ASM has not come back to after 3 requests for more territory, despite me providing postcodes of areas I would like to do if available.
So I asked someone on the opposite side of the street to me, if they had ever received an avon book and was someone doing it currently and they said no, so I have been canvassing the other side. Had plenty of do not leave, so probably why no one done it for a while but I have picked up a new customer...
And was asking my warden for the Resident's Association if anyone on her street did Avon and she said she hadn't see anyone for years either, so one quick drop tonight down that street....
It's got to be done if we want to make money.0 -

Hope they don't charge anyone.
But why are Avon doing silent calls? Are they trying to sell products or something? I know how silent calls work, it is a predictive dialler, that dials continuous phone numbers, when one starts ringing, the call should automatically connect to an available agent. If there is no one available, you get a silent call... worked for a business with a large call center and we had outbound sales calls.0 -
Woohoo! It's delivery day and my first order has arrived! It's like Xmas opening up the boxes of goodies isn't it?!
I've noticed a few of you saying you have nice Avon delivery drivers - I can add mine to the list too. He was very nice. I didn't see his van, which company do the couriers work for? He seemed pretty knowledgeable about Avon though, obviously delivers a lot for them
Ordered the £10 new reps kit, and there is apparently a supply problem with the bag, but it should be here in 48 hours. Nothing remarkable about the contents of the starter kit, but I guess one way of looking at it is that the bag cost £10 on it's own so everything else is extra. There were quite a few samples of lipsticks, foundations, SSS and fragrances which I wanted. (I ordered loads of fragrance samples myself too as I think it will help sell if people can smell the stuff!) Also in kit was order forms (1 bag) and 50 paper bags.
I bought the £20 playboy watch for myself and I love that - and the Playboy box it comes in lol! Gonna wear that everywhere in hope lots of people comment on it hehe. I ordered the Wilderness stuff in HT14 for OH dad's birthday and for £7 it very good value as you get deo roll on, body spray, shower gel, aftershave and free toiletry bag. Smells great too!
Everything was in stock except 2 clearance items I wanted from HT13, but sad as it is, I shall have to live without my 50p Banana and coconut body lotion! At least I don't have to disappoint any of my customers!0 -

sounds a lot like my asm lol! She's been useless with me since I was a rep, and still now I'm a SL - so recruiting reps outside of her area as much as possible, as neighbouring asm have been lovely with me. I emailed my asm last wednesday (and copied in her boss to the email to try and make her reply quickly!) to check if part of my OHs territory had been reallocated by mistake - hadn't heard anything by Friday, so emailed her boss asking if she was on leave, now my asm reckons she's left me a few messages - which I haven't had, I only had one last night at 9pm!!! which I didn't answer as with having swine flu I obviously don't feel like chatting with people and pretending to be nice to them lol - so text her this morning to ask her again, and to say I wasn't up to talking with having swine flu....her reply was o "that explains why you haven't answered my calls"!!! !!!!!! - she knows I work full time, and she definately hasn't tried my mobile it must have been the landline when she knows I probably wouldn't have been in! And yet about a month ago when she was ill, she ignored all my texts, emails and that was fine, and yet I have to be at her beck & call......!!!!!!:mad: Sorry that woman just makes me so mad lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Thanks for the advice about keeping my account open by just putting a smaal order in which is what i think i will do - give all my territory back to the ASM to give to someone else and just do F&F.
Ive had loads of customers return products to me this week, i know avon have a 90 money back guarantee but it has really hit my pocket.
I suspect some of my customers have just bought products to use them for a while then return them for the cash and re-order something different later on to do the same all over again - which is very cheeky IMHO. a free constantly changing make up bag.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
