Hi, quick couple of questions. How long do most of you leave the brochures before collecting? I had been going every other day but find that hardly anyone had left them out or was in...
Also - do you put the new/next brochure in with peoples orders when you take them or give them a couple of days and then just do them on your normal round? Not sure how will be best to do it... Not even sent an order off yet but I like to 'try' and be organised!0 -

i leave my books out a week- alot of people like to sit and ponder over book with a cuppa. I always deliver and collect on the same day. I know alot of reps have a faster turn around than that but i have found that people seem to remember better that way and keeps me organised,
I put the next book it with orders, its saves going back twice and sticks with days.Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass,it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -
Last time I only left them for two days - on my next campaign I'm planning on leaving them for 4 days. I have quite a lot of houses to get round and don't want to have to buy a book per house.
One thing I wanted to ask - when you view your order online - when will its status change from "prepared" to something else? As I'm just worried with it being my first order, for over £300, that it might be held up with requiring payment? Although I can't see anywhere it asking for me to pay anything before delivery!!!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Lozza, if it says 'prepared' it means you have nothing to worry about. I'm not sure if it changes to 'received by carrier' for reps but once it changes from 'received' to 'prepared' you have nothing to worry about
snowwhite44uk, glad you got your territory! Tina is a bit bogged down sometimes but she is basically a really lovely person
Liz3yy, you should get a call soon, if not PM me and i'll nudge someone for you
debbie - get the sample bag, so long as the perfume sells for a tenner (and trust me it will) everything else including the bag is a freebie
Shelley, the moneymaker won't show on your order until you receive it, but don't worry, you can just return itThe sales calls can be very persistant, don't think it's rude to just hang up, you didn't ask them to phone so it is rude of them to call! They are told not to hang up, just to keep plugging away, which I have told them in my opinion is just not on. You'll see moneymakers in HT, so if you want them, I'm sure you'll manage to order them yourself :rotfl:
Hope everyone is doing well, I don't have so much time anymore to do much but lurk but I'm still reading and thinking of you all and willing you on0 -
Thank you! I thought that would be the case, but it seemed to go to prepared straight away so that's why I was a little worried!
Re the bag - I've ordered it, asked my AL about it, she said I'll get a full size bottle of perfume in it (which I'm keeping for myself lol) and some samples. She didn't know how many, she seemed to think it varied, as one Rep told her that when theres arrived it was absolutely crammed with them - maybe it depends on who packs them!!! I figured it any case, it was worth £10 for the bag and the perfume for myself!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I think you'll find opinion varies on this one. Personally I deliver Monday, collect Thursday, or Tuesday/Friday. Any less doesn't give them time to look at the book, but I find that if I leave them a week then people have forgotten them and I get very few back. On the whole, I think if people are going to look at it, then they'll do so in the first couple of days - you know what it's like when you put something off; you never get around to it!
The answer is trial and error just to see what suits both you and your customers.
Good luck! I think the PC brigade snuck in here when we weren't looking and nicked the 'have a beer' smiley 'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

HI Silver
I know Tina is a lovely person and always friendly and helpful. I do realise she is a very busy person and that I would get my extra territory in the end. It was just a matter of waiting. I am so happy I didn't have to wait too long though. As she said you just have to keep pestering her and she will get round to it. Must be the same for all am's. So my advice to people wanting more territory is pester, pester, pester.0 -
 r u on about this one0

I had a customer asked when I wanted the book back and when I said 3 days they said they didn't want it, they will wait for the next one. Don't know if it wasn't long enough or what. But people do vary in how long they want the book for. Was thinking about letting them have it a week this time, but as you said if they think they got plenty of time they forget to look at it.0 -
