Unemployment Benefit Help

Please can someone advise on claiming unemployment benefit for two situations. For someone who has left their job and for someone who came to the end of a contract period.

If you lose your job voluntarily, you are likely to receive a sanction of up to 26 weeks on your JSA claim (unless there is good reason for leaving).
If you are on a fixed term contract and that finishes, then you will be eligible for JSA. There are two types that you can claim - contributions based, for which you must have paid sufficient NI Conts, and income based (if you do not qualify for conts based), if you have no (or very little) other household income.Gone ... or have I?0
