New to CCs - which is best for me?

in Credit cards
Hi,
I am looking to get a CC as a form of interest-free credit. I am looking to borrow no more than £500-£1000. I've tried to increase my overdraught with A&L but they won't do it so the only other choice is a CC.
Which is the best deal for me? I've never had any bad credit but my credit rating isn't great as I haven't borrowed much. I was approved for a CC through Lloyds TSB, was sent it but never activated it and therefore never used it. It's still on my account - I am in the process of cancelling it.
I think I will be looking to stooze in a few year when I have a better CR so I would like some advice on the best card to get in the interim?
Thanks for listening to my rambling!
