I Won an Ipod Nano I think?

I think that I have won an Ipod Nano thanks to Cherw1981. :beer: :j:beer: :j

But I would be grateful for you guy's advice please.

At the end of August I received an email saying that I had won the Playback Cult TV July Competition and my prize was an Ipod Nano.

They asked me for the delivery address that I wanted it sent to and I was going to post that I had won it when it arrived and thank the OP.

The thing is, it is nearly 2 weeks since I emailed them back, but I haven't received any sort of confirmation from them or the prize.

Now please bear in mind that I have never won anything this big before, so I could well be overreacting, so what I wanted to ask you MSE's was:

Has anyone had dealings with these people before? Are they Ok?
How long does it usually take for people to send prizes?

As I said above, I am probably just overreacting, but I am just excited about the prize. But I did ask for them to just acknowledge that they had got my delivery address and I have heard nothing from them.

My name (forum name up at Playback) did go go up on the site as a prize winner for a couple of days but now it had been replaced with the August winners names.

I just wanted to ask the more experienced compers how long bigger prizes take to come and for any advice as I have only won little prizes before that have quickly sent through the post.

I would be grateful if any one could advise me please? As I am worrying a little bit, which could be over nothing.

Well done! I usually email after 2 -3 weeks just to see whats happening.

I will do that. Like I said I'm probably worrying over nothing, that's why I wanted to get advice from you more experienced compers.

I don't think it would seem wrong for you to chase it up with them. When I had a WEM from a different comp for the same prize, I got the prize in 2 days. I had a WTC for another comp and the prize arrived within a week over the BH weekend.

Thanks Kateab and everyone else who answered me.

I'll wait a couple of days and then mail them again. Being a newish comper, I just wasn't sure how long people have to wait for prizes.

3 months? :eek: I would have forgotten I'd won the prize by then!

It would be handy if you could find the original comp T & C as that sometimes mentions how long it will take for them to notify & then get then prize out to the winner/s.

I don't really tend to chase anything until a month, although believe me sometimes I'm hopping up & down in anticipation It's up to you when you email to politely enquire if they received your delivery address & as you are so excited do they know how long it will take before it is with you
