Citroen Service
I wonder if somebody can help.
I have a Citroen Car which is due for its first annual service. I have been quoted £215.00 from the Citroen Dealership. Do hae have to go through them to keep the warantee active or could I pop into the likes of Kwik Fit?
Cheers

You no longer need to go to the main dealer but whoever services it must use genuine parts and carry out the procedures of the main dealer.
BUT any car 3 years old and under which doesn't have a full set of MAIN DEALER stamps is going to have its value seriously hammered. Buyers expect cars up to 3 years old to have full main dealer service history and there's plenty out there with it so you may find it hard to sell later.
And for the love of god, don't use Kwik-Fit. Find a local independent Citroen specialist instead.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to pay the £215.00 then.
Cheers

If you have access to other Citroen dealers not too far away it might be worthwhile asking them for a quote too. I would think, as with some other marques, the prices differ between franchised dealers.
Which model is it? Sounds a bit pricey for a first fairly basic service although I've never owned a Citroen so that price might be par for the course.
For comparison a Diesel Vauxhall Meriva (1.7l) is about £130 for 1st service at 12 months from new, £205 at 2nd year including a brake fluid change, but that might be a totally different beast to your car.0
