Ecotricity not resetting annual unit counter after price rise

Just to let you all know, I emailed Ecotricity on 26th August after they announced their price rise to ask whether they would be restting the unit counter like npower do and this was the email I got back this morning:
Dear Steel
Thank you for your reply.
We do not reset the annual unit counter back to zero when there is a
price rise, but continue with the figure that it was at beforehand.
