ice skating in Cardiff

I am going to be hanging around whilst my grandaughter goes ice skating for a couple of hours in a couple of weekends. I won't have the use of a car so anything I should check out whilst I am around there? What is around there (if anything)? I believe Ikea is nearby and maybe some superstores but does anyone have a tips for a small town girl?

There's always the swimming pool next door. It's brill.

Or there are indeed some shops nearby. Toysrus and Morrisons are nearest. It's not far to Argos, Ikea, some electrical retailer, Aldi and a few others I think.

The main bay area isn't too far away if you fancy a little walk and a look at the Norwegian church, the senedd, the visitor centre, the millenium centre. Or you could have a little boat trip on the water bus perhaps? Sometimes boats goes up the Taff to the Millenium Stadium and Cardiff Castle.

Edit: It's not especially easy to get to the main bay area without a car actually. There may be a bus. It's walkable but you need to allow a bit of time for that. I do it by bike in five minutes but I'm guessing you won't have a bike either. Other than that, you might want to just jump in a cab for five minutes.
