I bought a Medion PC from Aldi in 2007 and i also bought a HD2GO 320 GB External HD in 2006 it has a 3 year Warranty for some reason the HD stopped working on the PC yet it worked on the Laptop which was strange.
I got in touch with Medion and after lengthy phone calls and them trying to get out of sorting the HD out they finally collected the PC and HD up eventually.
I got it back about 4 days ago and tried the HD in the PC and it still wouldnt work. Ive emailed Medion but so far they have ignored my email.
What can i do as the HD is still in its Warranty and they have not fixed it to be honest they couldnt have tested the HD on my PC as it would have worked when i got it back. I sent them an email stating i was getting in touch with trading standards but to be honest i get better advice from here.
Thanks for any advice given.

You shouldn't have to contact the manufacturer. I had a duff Medion product, and after getting nowhere with Medion, I rang Aldi head office on 01245 215000 and explained my situation, and how sick I was of waiting for 2 weeks for everything.
They passed me onto the district manager who rang me back and offered to give me a full refund if I came in with the item to the store which I bought it from (my home town).
So forget about ringing Medion yet again. ring Aldi HO and state your case.0 -
I agree with the above, get in touch with Aldi. Your contract is with them and I have heard from various people that they do treat such things seriously, as opposed to some specialised electrical shops

Is the PC still under warranty as you don't mention whether or not it is. If the External drive works on your laptop but not on your PC it points to your PC being the problem, not the drive. So if your PC is out of warranty you're into a different ball game. You really have to establish where the problem lies before going any further. Why not try the drive on a friend's computer to make sure first. If it's a USB drive, you might want to try some other USB gadget such as a flash drive or something in the USB port to see if it's that that's the problem.0

The Pc is only a year old G42. Medion took the two of them away and when i got them back the HD didnt work with the PC yet it did a few months back.
The PC is also a Medion. ive tried every USB port and they are all working fine with other devices i plug in.
I also have two other 500 GB External HD's from Medion and they are fine.
Username i will give that a try but surely if Medion give you a 3 year Warranty they should honour it.
Do you really think phoning up Aldi will work as the External HD is over the shops guarantee and its into the Medion Warranty now.
Iam just sick of this as ive spent a lot of money on their products and they are just trying to mess me about.
At 1st they tried to say it was because i had Vista on the PC until i told them it was working on the PC with Vista on before hand.0
