No surprises there. Everything Npower does is misleading. It is exactly a year ago since they were warned about a previous advertisement claiming that they were cheaper "still" than british gas.

The biggest misleading scam npower has is tariff year / cycle with gas. All publications / information states that you only pay a max of 4572 kwh tier 1 gas per YEAR. But they actually practice a tariff year / cycle, in which each cycle / tariff year can be a few months to several months. In other words, you can have several tariff years in a year, meaning upto a max of 4572 kwh tier 1 in each tariff year. This results in the public paying more than 4572 kwh tier 1 in a year, as low as an extra 500, and as high as an extra 2000. This ranges between £30 and £120 extra per year. We are currently awaiting the results of an Ofgem investigation.0 -

I notice the action taken:
Action
The ads must not be shown again in their current form.
Bit late for that now, the damage was done ages ago and I am sure the ads have not been on screen for a long time.
What a toothless tiger.

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I fell for the npower price fix and fixed my gas and electricity. The girl on the phone didn't mention that this meant the price changed. When I got the letter I was straight back on the phone asking to be switched back to SOL8. They did this but had to do it via SOL12 due to it being an old tariff. Now SOL8 prices are being more than doubled.0
