Nationwide to Coventry First: 2 days
Nationwide to Lloyds: 2 days
Coventry First to Alliance&Leicester: 2 days

Just checked again. My accounts show

Nationwide to HSBC (credit card): 1* day (payments made on 31/5/06, 4/7/06, 3/8/06, 1/9/06*[arrived on 4th, but crossed a w/e] and 5/10/06)

Nationiwide to LTSB (credit card): 1 day (payments on 31/5/06 and 16/10/06)

Also HSBC to HSBC (cc): 1 day and HSBC to Lloyds (cc): 1 day

If you are referring to Lloyds bank a/c however I would not be surprised if it is still 2 days.

I make dozens of transfers every month between dozens of different bank accounts. They take a minimum of 2 days.

Your 1-day transfer experience seems to be solely related to paying off credit cards. How do you initiate these transfers?

When I set up a BACS payment to pay my Barclays c/c, it took 3 days* to arrive

*sent Monday, arrived Thursday
