Hi,
What/where is the best place to invest £9000 which I do not need access to for at least a year (possibly several years)
Any ideas suggestions considered.
Cheers "M"

If you haven't already done so this year, put £3,600 into an ISA.
For the rest there are several fixed rate bonds, you should be able to get around 7% gross on a 1 year bond or ICICI have a 1 year fixed rate account paying up to 7.2% AER0 -
can you only have one ISA and where do I get one from?
Also is there a part of this site that shows you've where you have posted because I've lost track?...:mad:0 -
You can only open one cash ISA a year with a max of £3600, but you can also open a S+S ISA, see the Full ISA Guide.

Best rated accounts (everything from ISAs to fixed rate savings) listed here at Moneyfacts. If you don't need access for a year, look at a top rated 1 year fixed term account, you'll get the best rate, but remember there will be no access, or if it is allowed before the term ends, there will be a penalty.0
