Bank Emails....

Last few months I'v been recieving emails from my bank (RBS)...once, and Lloyds Tsb....many times, that appear in my jusnk folder. I generally ignore them as im not with Lloyds, nor ever have been. But when the RBS one arrived I had a look as it might have been important. It was asking for me to goto the link provided, then it asked for my banking online number etc.......bells were ringing as it seemed dodgy for some reason. I closed the window and deleted the email. I then decided to open a few of the 'Lloyds TSB' emails and they were almost identical to the 1st in layout. And the link was identical too. Plus my browser started detecting phishing alerts. I deleted the emails and thought nowt more of them. Yet a friend mentioned it too and I thought I'd see if anyone else has had similar experiences. Mainly out of curiosity realy

to the extent that lloyds stopped their fast pay service, so they told me, as so many people were giving out their details and losing money instantly.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -

depending on what mood I am in depends on whether I tut, say !!!!!! (if lots appear at once), or let it to straight over me,
I have stopped using one email address as this was all spam / phising emails, and for now, another one seems to be relatively spam free0 -
Aah..don't also forget the ones where Russian girl age 24 is waiting to talk to me, and emails about various bits of body that might be enlarged with certain pills0

having an odd email address helps cut down on auto generated emails..
(eg: maeupname_with1234numbersadded@mse.com)
the '_' (underscore) seems to be the most effective part!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

I find I win a lot of lotteries plus there seem to be an awful lot of multi millionaires who are willing to share with me if I help them get the money out"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
