NPower SON 6 to SON 13
Options
We are currently on Npower Signonline v6 and I have noticed that signonline v13 is cheaper.
If I moved to son v13 online would I still be able to get my annual direct direct discount due next month? Also can I get cashback via Topcashback etc for doing this switch?
Thanks

Only a guess really - but I think you would get your discount - but not it you did it as a new contract through Topcashback and the like. My guess is that you have to ask nPower to change your tariff so that you are on the same contract. As I am in a similar position (my cashback is 6 months away so I am less interested) I would love to hear from others who know0

Are you going to save £88 in energy costs over only three weeks? If not, I'd suggest holding off until your twelve months are up and you qualify for your lock-in fee.
And I doubt you'd receive the referral cashback. No harm using the site to apply and see what happens, though. You never know, you may be lucky and it may slip through automatically without a second look. Of course, it seems that Npower are not particularly forthcoming with their first-timer referral fees. They have lots of complaints about nonpayment.0 -
It's suggested elsewhere the rebate is carried over cleanly:

Not sure I'd put much trust in anything coming out of the mouth of an Npower representative, though. Might still be best to wait a couple of weeks.0 -
Hi,
I'm in the same position with SOLv7 and realising I'd save £140 if I were on SOLv13. I rang and asked nPOWER and they said they could change my tariff immediately and that it would not affect my discount payment because there would be no interruption to my monthly direct debits. My anniversary date is the start of December.
I think I trust them. However I have rung on three occassions to request the new SOLv7 tariff and twice (29th Aug PM + 2nd Sep) I was given the same numbers that were incorrect, and disagreed with the bill I was sent on the 1st Sep. I was told on the 2nd Sep that a new bill would be issued. Yesterday I received a letter with new higher tariff numbers in it, and today I rang and was told those same higher numbers. I checked the energyhelpline.com tariff numbers and they agree with todays quote. So I'm almost certain I know have the right numbers. So I think I'll change to SOLv13.
Once I get my anniversary payment I'll be looking elsewhere.
Cheers,

Do Npower pay the aniversary payment on time and as credit to your acccount or is it like caskback?
If it's credit on the account, I have over paid and decide to switch can I get this back as cash?My farts hospitalize small children0 -
They credit it to your account. I've not left nPOWER before but I'm sure that when you do leave they will have to repay you any outstanding credit balance.
Cheers,
