Egg Money cashback

A while back I read on here that there was a loophole with the egg money cashback - Does anyone know if this works as it would be very usefull during the 2% period.

anyone? - Think it was something to do with getting a bacs transfer from egg and them paying cashback on it.... Does it still work?

It worked for me about a month back. Telephoned for refund (decided to get a bit more interest at ING) and I got 1% cashback.

They might have tightened things up since the 2% cashback promotion started, but I doubt it somehow.

so, whatever credit i have on this card, i withdraw to my current account and it counts it as a charge to the card and so gives you 2% cashback?

Yes, very probably. You need to telephone them and ask for the cash to be paid into your bank by BACS. Be prepared for them to pressurise you into keeping it there "4% interest etc." Just say you want to buy something by cheque and you need the money in your current account.

If you do a SBT to your current a/c online, you don't get the cashback.

As I say above, they might have removed this loop-hole now that its 2%.

thanks for that, i assume there in no charge for the BACS transfer?
