Southwark where to eat?

Hi all staying at Southwark travelodge on Sunday can anyone recommend any good places to eat in this area preferably a sunday lunch or something with vegatables off to Disneyland Paris the following day and will end up eating junk there for 3 days so need to eat something substantial before we go.

  • well it's got veg but it's asian, Neds Noodle Bar, in the middle of county hall (near the london eye) great food, not too pricey and soooo filling.

It's not far from there to royal festival hall, which has giraffe, strada & wagamamas all next to eachother along the river, all of which are very child friendly (and you'll almost certainly find some vouchers for all of them on here  )
  • Now on Joan Street, just behind the Young Vic there is a strip of restaurants including Tas which is Turkish and Thai Silk that all front out onto a safe area where the kids can play. You can sit outside and they all do happy hour type meals. Its like a green oasis right next to the Southwark tube. Love it there
