Presumably you have to have the same email address registered with Nectar and eBay for this to work. Like most people, I have a separate email address which I use exclusively for eBay, so I'd have to change the email address registered with Nectar so that it corresponds with my eBay email address. As far as I'm aware, this is how they track and allocate your points in a similar way to how cashback sites work.
  • - Whenever you buy anything on ebay your email address is available to the seller.
    - If the seller collects a large number of different valid email addresses they can sell them to "advertising concerns" (eg. spammers, phishers and others up to no good)

    ...Just a warning...

Not something you'd buy under normal circumstances but it is indeed a penny with free postage :T

Hi, Does anyone know if they each have to be seperate purchases or say could you buy 20 items at buy-it-now from one seller? Would save a lot of time.

    Thanks
  • Make sure you go to ebay using link on this page
    http://www.nectar.com/dynamic/estores/retailer/ebay

Actually what happen in affiliate programs when you click on affiliate link say "Go Shopping" it create a small file in your computer which is proof that you shop on ebay using Nectar affiliate. So you must buy using "Go Shopping" link on Nectar Website.

Try going into Everything else, other and use the search facility to look for buy-it-now items for between 0.01 and 0.01. I've just brought some nice pictures of some cute cows!
  • Has anyone got any Nectar points from doing this yet?

i'm pretty sure everyone who posts on this board will have had their email address sold at some point.

i can't see that ebay is a big worry for me.

It says in the t+c's that the points will be credited at the end of December

Not sure if this is in the right place but here goes:-

With Nectar now (untill 30/11/05) every time you use Buy it Now on ebay you get 24 Nectar points. Just had a search on ebay and there's loads of things on there with a Buy it Now price of 1p and free postage. So if you buy say 21 of these (cos 21p) you get 504 points which is £2.50 off at say Argos!!

If anyone can find a catch please let us know!! :j

One of the cashback sites, R-points do something similar and I think their cashback is 20p per Buy it Now which would mean earning £4.20 for 21 Buy it Now items. You can cash out via Paypal etc.
