BT Caller Display charges

Apologies if this has already been posted ( i tried searching for it), but has anyone had any success reclaiming/getting refunded BT's Caller Display charges?
Ive only just realised that BT have charged me for the Caller display facility each quarter, with their ValuePlan, despite making Caller Display free back in July 2005.
What is the best approach to take to get a refund on these charges?
Thanks in advance for any help.

They only made caller display free or virtually free if you subscribed to BT Privacy. They gave it lots of publicity at the time, and its beens discussed here oodles of times.
If you didnt sign up for BT Privacy and then meet the terms and conditions i doubt if your get a refund, but you never know.

Unless you signed up for BT Privacy and met the critera, yet have still been charged, I can't see any grounds you have for getting a refund. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
Yes, emailed them and on the 2nd email they agreed to refund me £8.25 (caller display plus 1571 charges) on my next bill. Got charged as I made less than 6 calls a quarter through BT. Make most calls through Tiscali so will probably go on to their rental after I get my refund.0

Not a good idea IMHO. Why not just dial 1280 before a few weekend (free) 01, 02 or 03 calls of less than an hour to qualify?Yes, emailed them and on the 2nd email they agreed to refund me £8.25 (caller display plus 1571 charges) on my next bill. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

It sounds like you had BT Privacy and didnt meet the T&C ,the op didnt have it so is unlikely to get a refund.0 -
Unless you make the minimum calls with BT your just get charged again.Yes, emailed them and on the 2nd email they agreed to refund me £8.25 (caller display plus 1571 charges) on my next bill. Saving you £7452.50 over a period of 55 years, based on you buying a license from the age of 20 until your 75 at a cost of £135.50.0
