Maybe if you got an education yourself you wouldn't be forced to edit so many of your own postings?

I don't think that his posts are edited (or more often, deleted) for typos.......

Take for example the thread where we had a barney about the possibility of 40,000 jobs going in the city (that was 5 months back, now the predictions are more like 110,000)

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=10253189#post10253189

There are some Chucky posts in there which I quoted back then which are now very conspicuous by their absence.

Regarding editing: When it comes to typos, you can edit the post in a short time window (something like 2 minutes) without an edit stamp being made. This is perfect for catching a typo or grammatical mistake. It gets suspicious when you see that whoever made the post has gone back and edited it after someone else replied to it and they got into an argument.

the only way to catch them out is to take a screenshot of the original post really, but even then that could be doctored to make it look like they changed their posts from something else...

It should be fairly easy for a mod/admin of this forum to put an end to this once and for all by checking the IP addresses of those posting... Would that be possible?

I don't see much wrong with multiple ID's. I am Mrs. Tingle on the Old style board, dispensing and discussing recipes and such like, here am I Mewbie obviously and one or two others (the fun is in guessing), and in the MoneySavers Arms you'll find me as JumboSizedJim - tagline "fun-size for the ladeez".

i've never bit to !!!!!!'s comments about deleting posts - but yes i have deleted posts and entire posts because it makes my profile 'cleaner'. no other reason - why would anyone really care about posts that have been on a thread that is now dead? the only person that does is !!!!!! - a very lonely man with so much time on his lonely hands that trawled through an entire posting history for a weak dig at me.

i have also never gone back and edited any of my posts except for changing grammer or spelling mistakes. the editing comments have always come from Fatpig, Banderman and Napoleon who sound like the same person anyway.

as for taking screenshots - would anyone be that sad?
sorry i shouldn't have asked that because there are definately a few of those on here :)

Actually Chucky, was Napoleon not the Fatpig in Animal Farm? Mmmmm.

The forum's self-proclaimed financial expert chucky says 35K whereas a bastion of Fleet St, the Daily Telegraph says 85K. They both can't be right.

    So who's the weakest link?

    YOU DECIDE
