Questions about Yougov

my favourite survey site is https://www.pineconeresearch.co.uk the surveys are fun and you sometimes get free products send to you to use, I had some domestos beach that’s not even in the shops the other day to test, plus every survey you do you get £4 luncheon vouchers to use in many places, I’ve had loads over the last year.0

you also get to agree to some terms and conditions that say you won't tallk about(especially on internet forums) what surveys you undertake especially ones with products that aren't actually in the market yet......
(I also think discussing pinecone surveys is against the rules of MSE too due to problems caused in the past by people talking baout surveys completed)0 -
i'll keep hush about that then!0

I have been doing Yougov surveys for just over threee years and have received two cheques for £50 and am now on £16. Sometimes I get two surveys in a week and then nothing for a month or so.
If you are not getting any surveys you could log in and change your profile - just leave something out.Born to shop;)0 -

I've been on YouGov for 2 years and have accumulated just under £30.
I group online dosh-making opportunities into 3. You have those who pay cash or prize draw vouchers for filling in online surveys. Then you have those who recruit and manage you online, but actually require face to face meetings. Then you have mystery shoppers which recruit and manage you online but which require you to visit places and do a bit of work.
In the first group, I am signed up to Lightspeed (who mostly pay on a prize draw basis, but recently paid me £35 for filling in a Viagra survey), pureprofile and ciao (each about £20 this year), and techtank. NPDOR have never paid me anything, so I no longer fill their surveys in. Those collectively bring in about £50 to £100 a year in total.
The only online recruiters I am with is Saros, who pay you to attend focus groups but limit you to 2 a year. This year I have had £40 for one on online gambling, and £60 for one on business class flying. That was very civilised actually - food and alcohol was provided. I'd like to find others because they are fun and the 2 a year thing is limiting; anyone aware of any?
I'm also signed up with retail eyes and TNS Global. These typically send you out to a shop or restaurant where you can spend eg £10 plus you get a fee of another £5. You complete a report form and you get your £15 back. Or you might be asked to go into a betting shop and place a bet, then report back on the state of the toilets.
You can stipulate what areas you're able to work in. I would guess you could make about another £100 a year without much difficulty.
Realistically I'd say around £200 to £300 a year is feasible without it taking a noticeable amount of time. The ones that pay actual cash tend only to do so in a very slow trickle, so the OP's YouGov experience is pretty typical, I think.
You can boost the pay rate on ciao by reviewing things - almost anything actually. People who find your reviews helpful can recommend them and recommendations generate reward points, which can be added to those you receive for surveys to generate cash faster.
We should perhaps set up an MSE racket, whereby we all write 5 word reviews on ciao, incestuously recommend each others' reviews, and generate loads of free wedge!0
