Questions about Yougov

Okay so i went on to the link yougov.com, and i am really interested in signing up. However it says that you cannot recieve any money until you have done £50 worth of surveys which means 50 surveys @ £1 per survey!
It then went on to say in the terms and conditions that not everyone will recieve surveys and it just picks people at random at any one time to send them to. So i was just wondering does this mean that i could be emailed 40 surveys when i first join and then all of a sudden they will stop emailing me because im near my £50 target? Im not sure about this site theres alot of things that dont measure up!X

YouGov targets certain demographic areas of the population, hence why you will not constantly receive invitations to surveys. I have been a member of YouGov for two years, and am only just approaching the £50 payout limit. However, the surveys they carry out are engaging and thought provoking, and are often used by large organisations such as the national press and the Government.13/3/06 £2 Savers Club = £20

I've been a member since Jan 2003 and have received one cheque for £50 and am have £16.65 in my account at the moment.
Surveys are not always a £1 , they can be 50p or 75p or sometimes a prize draw. I sometimes go weeks without getting one and then a few come along at once :rolleyes:Same old same old since 20080 -
I've been with YouGov for nearly three years and am still only have £41 as a balance.
When I do finally get to my £50 I think I will probably close my account. I know they choose people based on certain criteria so I'm probably just unlucky that I don't fit their remit.

My experience is very similar to those mentioned above. Initially I received 2 or 3 surveys a week, however when my account reached around £35 the surveys dwindled away to almost nothing. I eventually reached £50 and received a cheque, and my account now stands at around £20. You aren't charged for not doing surveys just seem to receive very few to complete.
Good luck0 -
ive been a member for 2-3 years, and am just reaching the £20 stage, but then i know that i do not fit their main demographic. my old sociology teacher obviously did tho, as he has had a few cheques from them now, the lucky devil.
at the end of the day, if you are looking to make a quick buck, yougov isnt for you, as you will end up disappointed. however, if you see "free money" as a nice reward for clicking through a survey every now and again, then go for it. probably the best survey site i belong to as far as content is concerned - very topical and though provoking (especially if you are interested in politcis).know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

I 've been a member for about 10 months and have only £14 in the account. Not good. There are much better surveys to take and companies which really do Pay.2014 - Lisbon - February

I joined Yougov at the beginning of September this year and have earned £3 so far. I quite enjoy doing these surveys as there are some interesting and thought provoking questions, more interesting than the usual boring mobile phone and holiday surveys!
It doesn't really bother me that it will take a long time to build up enough to redeem the £50. It's only a few minutes of my time to do each one, so I will continue to do the surveys.
If you join a few survey panels, it might be more worth your while? I joined about ten survey sites in September and I get around one survey a day to do from one of the sites.0
