Cheapest Train Fare Derby-London Rtn

I am going to London from Derby on Wed 21st Dec. I need to depart about 10am and return about 10pm on the same day. Cheapest I can find is Midland Mainline booking 2 x single journeys which costs £32. Can anyone find me a better deal before I book and are there any codes going. Thx

Nationalrail.co.uk then click journey planner, showing at £7:50 to London and £6:00 back, leaving at 10;34 arr London 12:34 back at 22:35 arrive Derby 00:35. 10:00 train down but this is £10 single.
Put your journey times in, then check the single fare section for details, these are non flexible fares, i.e. you have to travel on the date and time booked. Hope this helps.

I used https://www.thetrainline.com.
This came up with a single ticket at £10 max each way. If you can be a little flexible on your times you could get a return on 21st December for £13.50.
This is with Midland Mainline.
