WIFI Laptop

Finally, I've decided which laptop to get, the SONY FS315M.

I am getting rid of my desktop PC which has BT broadband via a BT Voyager 205 ADSL Router. I am only 6 months into my contract so I can't migrate just yet to get a free modem router with another provider.

Am I right in thinking all I need to go wirless with new laptop is a modem router?

If so can somebody please recommend a decent one to buy or tell me what the main differences are with the routers.

Many thanks

In true MSE style, do these things use up a lot of electricity?

  • You need a modem with a wireless router all in 1.

i recomment a Netgear DG834g. There about £75, great quality as well.

Its possible that model is old now, so go for the DG834GT.
  • thats an excellent router, i have one myself. never drops its connection.. the wirless signal spreads a long way!!
