a friend on mine told me about this site called 'helphound.com'

you write reviews about a place, shop ect.. and they pay you 50p a review (if you are the first person to review it) or 25p if somebody else has already reviewed it.

you write 10 reviews then email this guy [EMAIL="'john.williams@helphound.com'"]'john.williams@helphound.com'[/EMAIL] and he emails back to say you can carry on (just to check you are not just writing 'this place is good'). then he sends you some info about how to get paid. but you do have to write 100 before they pay you. My friend told me about it 3 days ago and ive done 60 so far.

you might think its a scam, so did i, but she showed me her username and she has done 100 and has already got a cheque for £50. There is info about it on this website too and it tells you about it more clearly than me!!

You can refer people and get £5 if they also do 100 but i wont do that.

I've just had a look on their website- and there's no mention at all of payment for reviews. I read the guides, FAQ, Help- you name it- but absolutely nothing about anyone being paid. I even typed the http from the OP in- and it came up 'Page not Found'.
If this really does pay out, why is there nothing about it on the site?

hmm... I also had a look at the link that the original poster gave but I couldnt find any reference to money. The link which was given took me to a thread within some kind of messageboard where different members were talking about how much they were being paid.

I couldnt find any original information from the company itself regarding how they pay the reviewers.

I went to their main page (www.helphound.com) and browsed a few standard pages, (such as 'About Us') but still couldnt find any official information from the company itself regarding how they pay the reviewers.

What he says is true, they do pay out.

I have a thread on it in the referers dept with the contract that they gave me refering to payment.

Anyone who signs up click your name in the top left corner and then click my report to see your payments.

Maybe they don't mention it on the site because they want it to look like people wrote the reviews because they wanted to, not because they were paid to.

I'v never ever done anything like this before. I completed 100 reviews (took me 2 weeks mind you doing it every so often) and ive made £43.50. I hated doing it at the end but I wanted to get to the end!!

there is another link about this that I was just reading here. Souns alright. you have to write between 50 and 100 words I think it said and 200 words if you do a town or a place.

Sorry to be such a thickie- but I'm in a kind of chicken and egg senario here!!!
On one hand, this sounds really good and I'd like to have a go.

BUT on the other hand .... I really can't afford to put in the time it'd take unless I know for sure that this really is going to pay out.

On the other hand.... am I supposed to just join, write and wait for someone to say "Hey, guess what- we actually pay you!!!"

On the other hand..... hang on... I've ended up with 3 hands already! Oh well- I'm sure you get my point! I want to know the payment details before doing this- but do I have to do this before I get payment details?

Kingsthorpe and/ or direwolf247- can you tell/ show us exactly where we can find these details on the site. How did you find out about the payments?

I found out from someone on this forum which i then went to confirm cos not even i was too sure by e-mailing John:

I started it in the same position, do i get paid?
and why does it not say anything about it. But like i said register and in the top left corner click your name then my report that will say what your current amount is.

If it works then it sounds great - the payout level is good compared to other sites.

Just need the time to do it now!
