I changed my supplier from Npower to Bgas. Npower sent me a final bill for the electric but not the gas so I phoned them & asked for a final bill for both. I gave the girl my meter reading and she told me the amount I owed & I payed by credit card. I asked her if this was all i owed & she said yes. I have now received another bill for £320 which they say is my final gas bill. I have phoned & told them I paid the final amount & that the girl told me that mi did not owe any more but they say she mad a mistake & i have to pay. Surley it's her mistake & i should not have to pay anymore. I've asked for a copy for the phone call but the are unable to access it. They have offered me £75 off the bill. Do you think i should accept or fight to get the amount written off as she made the mistake. Any advise would be welcomed please. Thanks

Even accepting that the girl made a mistake on the telephone, I can't see you have any grounds for the bill being written off.
Provided you have used the gas, a £75 discount on £320 is pretty generous; especially as you are leaving the company!0
