My tv has only got two scart sockets, I am using one for the video and the other one for sky. I am thinking of buying a scart block as I want to add a DVD and there is no spare scart socket on the TV. Are they any good? Seen them at Argos. Thanks

Hi have you considered a "daisy chain" you may be able to feed two scart’s into to your dvd or video. You may be able then feed one signal to TV. I know my Video has two scart inputs....
If failing that you will most probably pick one up from ebay. However do your research first and see how much they are going for and work out the cost benefit ratio from buying online plus postage to going to local shops and picking one up.
The blocks are ok they simply allow you to add more video feeds to tv etc.0 -
3 way scart block £1 in Poundland. Can't speak for quality but can be returned if duff.0

The digibox is designed so with a vcr you only need to plug one scart lead to your tv. You do not need to plug your VCR directly to your tv. You can play your VCR 'through' the digibox.
SKYBOX 'video' scart socket <
>plug to your VCR AV1 in.
(This is a two way signal via scart)
SKYBOX 'tv scart socket'
>plug to your tv AV1 in.
This frees up your tv's second scart socket for a dvd player!"...IT'S FRUITY!"0 -
or get a DVD player with 2 scarts.0

We got a cheap one off ebay to deal with Sky / DVD / VCR / XBOX into one scart plug. It seems to work fine, although the equipment we use is hardly hi-fi.Life should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.0
