DH has treated me to a spa day for my b'day and I thought it might be nice to combine with a trip up to Manchester to visit a friend.
Anyone know of any good spas in Greater Mcr/Cheshire? No more than 1hr from Manchester if poss, pref. not city centre location.
Thanks!

It's not money saving but Rookery Hall in Cheshire is very very nice

Five of us are off to Thornton Hall on the Wirral next Sunday. It's an overnight stay with lunch, dinner (including half bottle of wine each), breakfast the next day and two Elemis treatments forn £135. It looks fantastic and has been recommended. i don't know how soon you plan to go but I'm happy to post back my experience if I'm not too chilled out to type when i get back

My wife has spent a day at Shrigley Hall.
She said the treatment area/spa was great but the restaurant was awful. Although a wedding was taking place at the same time so this might explain but not excuse!

You can also have a look at Mottram Hall - Although I don't know anyone who's been there.

Well I had to come back and post about my experience at Thornton Hall - it was absolutely fantastic :T
From start to finish we loved every minute of it and we even had sunshine which was lovely when relaxing in the outdoor hot tub
The food was delicious and there was plenty of choice, the staff were lovely and we just can't wait to go back.
As you may have gathered, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and it was certainly value for money0 -
My wife went to Cottons Hotels a couple of years back and enjoyed it there.0

De Veres have two nights for price of one on their hotels at moment. there are two in Cheshire, both with spas. Google 'De Veres'
Think offer ends 14th Dec, and you need to use code 'AUB'0
