Help with short term savings??!??

I have just sold my house and have a few weeks before my purchase is going to go through on my new house. I will have 100 000 to invest until around 22nd October. I have currently put my money into an Alliance & Leicester esavings account and will earn 6.5% AER interest on the money for the month of September. A&L don't give interest for any month in which a withdrawal is being made, so I won't earn any interest if I keep the money in that account until I need to use it for my house purchase on 22nd October but it really doesn't seem fair to have to go for 3 weeks with no interest on what for me is a really large sum of money - does anyone have any advice on where I could move the money for 3 weeks of interest in October?
THANKS!!
THANKS!!
