Blinking Tesco!

Options
I ordered some (4) Cd's from Tesco online, to go to my son's address, then realised he would be away, so cancelled the order within 5minutes of making it, on 5th Nov: Re-ordering to my own address.
Tesco sent the order to him regardless and charged my credit card twice, on 14th Nov:
On 12th Nov: they sent me an email to say the goods had been dispatched (to his address), then 1 minute later sent another saying " Sorry we sent out your order by mistake, as it was previously cancelled".
Now they are asking me to return the goods. I explained he is away on his honeymoon for 3wks and there isn't anyone at his address to take delivery of them.
They say I either return the goods or they keep the money! Blinking Cheek!
Rang CC company and they say they will put the payment into dispute, but I may still have to pay it.
My only hope is that the CD's are returned to Tesco as undelivered. Little chance of that really, as all my son's mail is left on the communal stairway in the block of flats where he lives.

We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................

If the CDs are left on a communal stairway AND the delivery address specifies a flat number, then they have not been delivered and you should not have to pay for them.

Remember proof of posting is not proof of delivery.

Sounds to me like you would have no trouble winning this in a small claims court. Keep copies of everything. And write don't phone!
