Laptop Question

I have an old laptop that will not recognise a hard drive above 10GB.I have a 40GB hard drive.If i partition say into 4 partitions will the old laptop now recognise it???

No it won't work. Google for "Drive Overlay software". You'll need to create a bootable floppy with it on and use that to install the drive. If you know the make of the drive, the manufacturers website should have some you can use.0
