BT Connection Charge Help

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I've had a browse on here and on a million other sites and it's all so confusing.
Basically, 5 of my friends and I (all students) will be moving into a house next week. Yesterday we signed up with Virgin Media, as they seem to have the best deal - we've gone for a Broadband/TV package, as we don't need a phone line, seeing as all 6 of us have mobile phones on contract with hundreds of minutes each. Virgin are going in to the house next week to install it all.
My question is, do we still need to pay the BT connection charge? And if so, should we make sure it's paid before Virgin go in to install?
Many thanks.

From your description it seems that Virgin cable is connected, thus you have Virgin phone & will not need BT line, so your contract is with Virgin and you have no need for BT at all
Unless you have missed something and have got ADSL and not cable
PS, you may have to pay a Virgin connection charge of course, no idea if this was "free" in your package or notWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0 -
We've had to pay a £30 installation charge.0

If you have signed up for Virgin Media Cable Products, BT will not be involved in it in any way shape or form.
