:hello:
I'd just like to say what excellent service I received from Dunrose Optical today.
Today I broke my glasses: I managed to break the frame around one of the lenses where it joins the bridge. Uh oh - I'm now looking for a new pair and a nice big bill.
However, after talking to someone at work who knew a bloke who knew another bloke etc...I was eventually led to Dunrose Optical.
I turned up, and one of the business partners took a quick look before announcing that if I could hang on 15 minutes, he'd mend them while I waited. For a tenner. :j
Sure enough, he welded them back together, touched up the paintwork, and you'd hardly know they'd been broken. :T
I was delighted to find a proper craftsman that was happy to repair them for me - if I'd gone to one of the larger places they'd have told me that they were beyond repair and to choose a nice expensive pair from the rack on the left.
Their website is here, in case anyone else is a clumsy oik.

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

watch out - solder (which is what he did) is only a tempory repair and will last a short while but is very weak!! best to get glasses replaced asap!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
