I have tried to avoid using Credit Cards at all cost - don't like the idea of being in debt!!! However, I've been reading through the articles on this site and realising that by using credit cards there is the potential to actually make money!!
I'm not a heavy spender so am looking for the best Credit Card available? Due to my lack of knowledge in this I would appreciate any advice available? I know Martin has listed a number of potential options, i.e. Morgan Stanley but would be interested to see what the rest of you think?
Many thanks.
P.S. I should add that I got a credit card when I opened my A&L current account - never used it!

I use Goldfish and Tesco and am happy with them both. I don't think they were at the top of Martin's table, but I like the rewards you get with them. I prefer vouchers to cashback because I find the cash just gets absorbed into the household money!
I actually pay for pretty much everything with my credit card (everything over £5 usually) as it's convenient and I get rewards. I pay it off in full every month.0 -
I am currently usung Morgan Stanley which find excellent, and I get cash back every time I make a purchase. As for not liking being in debt, if you pay your full balance every month, you will never be in debt. You simply need to remmber not to spend beyond what you can afford to pay each month. It's pure financial discipline. I would be lost without a credit card. So much easier to manage expenditure. Before doing something... do nothing0

I find Egg money to be the best for my purposes. Cardboil I do believe you are not in debt until you fail to clear your card balance each month.

Also with the egg money card you can put the money on before you spend it so you will never be in debt.0

I view my c/c as a debit card, and have never had to pay interest on them. Started with airmiles, now using for cashback. They are not the enemy if you play them right.0
