Its the Wireless Encryption Protocol(WEP) number I imagine if your trying to connect wirelessly. It should be on the box, but I dont have Orange livebox, maybe someone can confirm who have it.
have a look here (need to register to search) http://www.orangeproblems.co.uk/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=4&sid=86c9f4624fa283bc08669eda024e4f2b

you will need the WEP Key.. this will either be on the side or bottom of the live box on a printed label.. unless you have changed it from the default key.. also you may need to do the pairing mode this is done by pressing the 1 button on the livebox.. dont try pairing unless the wireless doesnt work with just the wep key...........0

Thanks. I was just about to ask whether the encryption type box should say WEP or WPA, as it also asks me that.
It asks for Encryption Type: WEP or WPA
KEY: ???????
KEY Index: (it gives me the options in a drop down of:- 1, 2, 3, 4)
Anyone any ideas on what I should put in the Key index box?
Any help gratefully received`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.0 -
Encryption Type = wep...
Key = key is the printed key on side or bottom of live box..
index will be 10 -
The KEY, is it 26 letters/numbers long?
There is a security code on a label on the bottom of the LIVEBOX that has 26 characters in. Could that be it?`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.0 -
I have tried using all the codes i have found on the bottom of the livebox so far. I suspect it is the 26 character long one. It does not seem to recognise it though.
Any ideas? Should i try pressing the 1 button on the livebox?....`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.0 -
if it is 128 bit encryption it will be 26 characters long.. make sure tho that you ate using zero instead of the letter o..0

There are no o's or 0's in the code. I tried using capitals and no spaces. Still no luck.
It just says Status: PENDING and no connection.....

Yup and its case sensitive too, so if theres a upper case letter you have to put it in uppercase and same for lowercase."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Anyone any idea what I am doing wrong? or have i got to suffer the hell of Orange customer service and an hour of trying to explain what I can't do, only to be led through a minefield of meaningless actions (you can tell i have been there!)
