How would you propose to do this?

Yes - if you are made bankrupt the OR will go through every single inch of your finances, if you have £20K, you will lose it in the BR, so you might as well pay it now and avoid the BR.

No, I do not have 20k I would have to borrow it off relatives

I have recieved an email from them today offering settlement at just over £7k. I shall pay them and damn their impudence .
