"More Than" Credit Card - checking it's dead

Hi,

I have a More Than Credit Card somewhere... or I may have destroyed it... in any event it'll be out of date... my balance will be £0.
From my googling it appears that More Than, who still exist, have repudiated their credit card and wish to airbrush it out of history. None of the delightful Indian people I talked to on their customer services line knew anything about it.
I simply want to make sure the thing is dead, buried, un-dracula-like and will never rise again and annoy me.
Anyone know anything about this situation?

Thanks!
MRodent

  • Yes, I had one and we got moved to a Lloyds tsb Amex card.

I closed my account swiftly - as I just don't like Lloyds.

Get your Experian and Equifax credit reports, and find out which holds details of the card, and ensure that it has been closed on there.

  • Egad! Has it really come to this? That I must commission (presumably being put on hold on an 0870 number several times and being very annoyed by the musak) for 34.99 or maybe 44.99 + VAT ... and do it twice (one for Experian one for Equifax)... and isnt there some annoying and irksome thing that you've {YAWN!!!} go to know about, to do with not ordering too many of these credit reports otherwise all those thousands of agencies and goggle-eyed busybodies who have access to your financial data get suspicious...

as you can see this idea holds so much attraction for me I think I might just have to go and have a nap... the excitement is just TOO great

You can order a copy of your file from all 3 credit reference agencies for £2 each.

I wouldn't bother with CallCredit IME the information they hold is out of date and tends to repeat stuff on the other reports - just get one from Experian and Equifax. Total cost: £4, since you can order them online (though the links tend to be hidden):
